The Era of AI-enabled Digital Twins Has Arrived

Andrew Hendry

Senior Sales Manager EMEA, NVIDIA

Enterprises and industries are adopting digital twins to design, simulate, build, operate, and optimise assets and processes, addressing challenges like labour shortages and supply chain volatility. These digital twins enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and serve as platforms for robotics systems and AI training. The new era of digital twins requires physics feedback to ensure AI models perform effectively in the real world. This presentation will explore technologies available to support this digital transformation.

Virtual Factories for Accelerating Digital Manufacturing

In recent years, digital twins have been introduced into manufacturing to capture and transfer a near-continuous stream of data from the physical systems and processes to virtual environments, where models analyse performance and/or simulations predict future behaviour. These live analyses and predictions are used for optimal decision making, monitor, and control. Digital twins combined connectivity, data analysis, and simulation as virtual replicas to predict the future behaviour of the system or process based on the sensor data. This talk will cover the route to adopting digital twins and how digital twins have been used across industries, such as FMCG, pharma, automotive, and aerospace.
